Millet Vada : Millet Recipes
Ingredients
- 1cup Millet flour
- 2tsp semolina/rava/sooji
- 2tsp fresh curd/dahi/yogurt
- 2tsp sesame seeds/til
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric
- 1tsp ginger Garlic paste
- 1tsp green chili paste
- 2tsp oil
- 1/2tsp asafoetida
- 1tsp chilli powder
- Water as required
- Oil for frying
Total Ingredients : 12
Method
- Take a big bowl, add Millet flour, semolina and mix it.
- Add All the above ingredients to it, except oil for frying.
- Kned the mixture to prepare semi stiff dough using required water.
- Divide the dough into equal portions using a 2tsp dough measure for one vada to prepare vada of some size.
- Grease your palm a little by oil and then take one portion, roll it to small ball between your palms. Then press your palm to flatten all balls to make vada.
- Heat the oil in kadhai or non stick pan. Keep the gas flame to low. Fry all the vadas in the oil, till the vadas becomes golden brown from all sides. Keep vadas on absorbent paper to absorb excess oil.
- Cool the vadas completely. Store it in an airtight container.
